A hand wrap is used to secure the bones in the hand, allowing boxers to throw punches with more force than if they did not utilize them. This can make the boxer's hands have extra weight, but it also allows them to feel less pain when punching.
This hand wrap is slightly elastic. You can pull on it a little while wrapping your hands so that it feels tighter. By stretching to your hand more, it adds less bulk.
